Public Advisory from The Jamaica Football Federation
The Jamaica Football Federation
wishes to advise members of the public that tickets for the
Jamaica vs. Canada friendly international game on Sunday, January
31, 2010 will not be sold at the National Stadium on the day of
the game.
Patrons are asked to adhere to
the Public Advisory from the Constabulary Force regarding traffic
protocols for the match.
We also ask that patrons adhere to the following guidelines for
their safety:
- No offensive weapons are allowed inside the stadium
- No umbrellas with sharp tips are allowed inside the stadium
- No pyrotechnics/fireworks etc. are allowed inside the stadium
- No igloos are allowed inside the stadium
- Throwing of objects is disallowed.
- Patrons are to be seated in accordance with their ticket
assignments
- No patron should be seated in the aisles.
- Patrons are asked to remain seated and not block stairways and
exits.

BEFORE THE EVENT
ONE WAY SYSTEM
-
Arthur Wint Drive will be operated as one way from Tom Redcam
Drive to Roosevelt Avenue.
-
The
upper section of Arthur Wint Drive from Mountain View Avenue to
gate E4 will be operated as one way to access the Stadium car
park.
ROAD
CLOSURES/DIVERSION
-
Road
closure and Traffic Diversion will be in effect as of 2:00pm (or
as situation dictates) to facilitate the smooth staging of the
event.

A
sterile area will be created along Arthur Wint Drive between
Roosevelt Avenue and gate E4 just above the main entrance
leading to the Stadium. Barriers will be placed across the
roadway at both points.

JUTC
buses and other vehicles travelling along Arthur Wint Drive to
Mountain View Avenue will be diverted onto Roosevelt Avenue and
Stanton Terrace.
CHECK POINTS
MOUNTAIN VIEW AVENUE/AUTHUR
WINT DRIVE
There will be a Police Check
Point at this location; only vehicles conveying patrons will be
allowed to turn from Mountain View Avenue onto Arthur Wint Drive.
All other vehicles including J.U.T.C. buses will continue straight
along Mountain View Avenue.
STANTON TERRACE/ROOSEVELT
AVENUE
There will also be a police
checkpoint at this location, only V.I.P.s in vehicles wearing
stickers will be allowed access along Roosevelt Avenue to get to
the stadium via gate E2. All other vehicles will be diverted onto
Stanton Terrace via Mountain View Avenue or Old Hope Road.
ENTRY POINTS

V.I.Ps, members of the Diplomatic Corps, teams and officials
will enter through gate E2.

Vehicles (bearing stickers) of accredited media personnel will
enter through gate E10 (Nannyville Access) and park in the media
area.

General public through gate E4 to E8.
NO PARKING
No
parking will be allowed along the following roads.
EMERGENCY EXIT
- Statue Road will be operated
as the emergency exit and as such will be kept clear at all
times.
AFTER THE EVENT
-
Arthur Wint Drive – Arthur Wint Drive will be operated as one
way from the Stadium to Tom Redcam Avenue.

Roosevelt Avenue will be operated as one way from the Stadium to
Stanton Terrace.
-
Latham Avenue will be operated as one way from Roosevelt Avenue
to Old Hope Road.

Vehicles occupying the upper section of the car park will use
the upper section of Arthur Wint Drive to exit.
