CONCACAF Under 17 Women’s Championship

The CONCACAF Under 17 Women’s Championship will be played in Trinidad and Tobago July 17-26.

The Group Stage matches will be played at the Dwight York Stadium in Tobago and the Marvin Lee Stadium in Tunapuna. The Semi-Finals and finals will be played at the Marvin Lee Stadium

Jamaica advanced to the 2008 CONCACAF Under-17 Women’s Championship after finishing first in Group A of the Caribbean Qualification in St. John’s, Antigua & Barbuda from 21-24 November.

Countries reaching the CONCACAF stage are Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Trinidad & Tobago, Canada, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Mexico and USA. The tournament, will qualify three teams to the inaugural FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand 2008.

In preparation for the second stage of this inaugural tournament the Technical Director has instructed that training camps for the selectees be resumed. A camp will therefore be convened from April 4 -6 under the supervision of National Under 17 Women’s Assistant Coach Junior Francis and Assistant National Coaches Francisco Oliveira and Jose Monteiro

The squad will train Saturday April 5 and Sunday April 6 at 7:00 am at the Constant Spring ground.
