Top awardees in the Wray and
Nephew National Premier League 2006 - 2007 season including Player
of the Season, the Peter Cargill Memorial Award and the Tony
Burrowes Player Personality Award will be presented at the JFF
National U-21 and Wray and Nephew National Premier League awards
ceremony to be held on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at 7:00 pm at the
Jamaica Pegasus.
Awards
The Peter Cargill Memorial Award
will be presented to the Wray and Nephew National Premier League
team who shows the most discipline on the field and which has the
most disciplined fans. The team will receive the Peter Cargill
Memorial Trophy and a cash award of J$200,000.00
The Tony Burrowes Player
Personality Award will be presented to the player in the Wray and
Nephew National Premier League who best exemplifies the qualities
of sportsmanship, leadership and compassion both on and off the
field. The winner will receive the Tony Burrowes Player
Personality Trophy and a cash award of J$100,000.00.
Guest Speaker
The guest speaker will be former
youth player and football administrator and current educator,
Russell Bell. Mr. Bell, a former executive of the Jamaica Football
Federation and the KSAFA, is one of the founding members of
Harbour View Football Club and the author of a number of books,
articles and papers which address Jamaican football issues.
After years of outstanding and
invaluable contribution to local football he was honoured by the
KSAFA with a life membership in 1992. |
