FIFA Vice-president, President of
CONCACAF and the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Jack A. Warner
will arrive in Jamaica on Sunday December 14 for the final of the
Digicel Caribbean Championship set to take place on the same day.
Mr Warner who also serves as
special advisor to the Trinidad and Tobago Football Football
Association (TTFA) will be accompanied by his wife. They will
depart the island on Monday December 15.
The Digicel Caribbean
Championship which is at the semi-final stage continues on
Thursday with a double-header at the National Stadium. Cuba and
Grenada will contest the opening game at 5:00pm with hosts Jamaica
tackling Guadeloupe at 7:00pm in the feature game.
All four teams will be vying for
the ultimate prize of the Championship Cup and US$150,000. The
second-placed team will earn US$70,000.00, third-place finishers
US$50,000 while the fourth-place finishers will receive no
financial rewards.
