JFF Appoints New U15 Boys Assistant Coach

Mr. Sheldon Davis has been appointed Assistant National Under 15 Boys Coach. Mr. Davis assumed duties yesterday on Saturday, June 3.

Mr. Davis who is an Advanced Level I and II coach under the JMMB/JFF/UTech Coaching School will be Assistant to Aaron Lawrence, Head Coach.

Coach Lawrence along with National Youth Coordinator, Wendell Downswell has pulled together a squad which has been in training over the past six weeks after an island wide parish scouting exercise. The technical staff has also been visiting games in the Under 15 Boys Competition which is currently ongoing.

Coach Davis is currently Head Coach of Holmwood Technical’s DaCosta Cup team and in the past has been Head and Assistant Coach at Manchester High School. He has also been Head Coach of the Manchester Under 15 team which had successes in 2014; 2012; 2010; 2009; 2007 and 2006. He was this year, Head Coach of the Manchester Under 18 Elite team.

Now as part of the technical staff he is charged with preparing Jamaica’s National Under 15 team for the 2017 CONCACAF Boys Under 15 Championship to be held August 13 – 19 in Florida. Honduras is the defending champion.
